The BUDMA international trade fair is underway in Poznań, where on February 6 a debate will be held: "Open City, Friendly City" with the participation of Małgorzata Kuciewicz (CENTRALA design group), Marta Sękulska-Wrońska(WXCA) and Przemo Łukasik (MEDUSA GROUP). And if, after visiting the fair, you find some time for an architectural stroll around Poznań, today's "Coffee Break" includes some hints of places worth seeing.
Raczynski Library
The authors of the expansion of the Raczynski Library in Poznan are architects from the JEMS studio. Pixel
Pixel is a project of five seven-story office buildings. The buildings, which vary in length and width, were designed by architects from the Warsaw-based JEMS studio. The building at 182 Grunwaldzka Street has been named the best architectural project of Poznań 2012.

Gate of Poznań ICHOT
Winner of the Jan Baptista Quadro Mayor's Award for the best architectural project of 2013. The minimalist building of the Gate of Poznań ICHOT tells the story of the beginnings of the Polish state and the cathedral island.

UBIQ 34
Combining historic architectural fabric with a modern one, the UBIQ 34 office complex (recognized as the best architectural realization of Poznań 2015) consists of three buildings - A (a historic barracks building), B (an office building) and C (a multifunctional pavilion). Architects from CDF Architects are responsible for the modernization and expansion of the complex.

Office building on Za Bramka Street
Nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Prize, the office building on Za Bramka Street designed by Ultra Architects completes one of the quarters of the downtown development. Each floor of the building is set back from the previous one, creating recreational terraces.

Baltic
The distinctive body of the skyscraper on the site of the former "Baltyk" cinema was designed by architects from the MVRDV studio in cooperation with NO Natkaniec Olechnicki Architects. The Baltic is the winner of the 20th John Baptist Quadro Award.

Residential building
The residential building designed by Ultra Architects was built on a plot of land located at the corner of Sokol and Generała Maczka Streets. You can read about the building inspired by urban quarter buildings in Maciej Kapolka's article in the January issue of A&B.

Szeląg Garden Pavilion
On an embankment over the Warta River, in an area adjacent to the historic Szeląg Park, the Garden on Szeląg was created, and in it - a modest, year-round pavilion with a simple, minimalist form designed by wiercinski-studio. You can read more about the pavilion here.

Outbuilding on 3 Maja Street
The project for the superstructure and reconstruction of the outbuilding at 49C 3 Maja Street by the NMS Architects studio is the winner of the 21st Jan Baptista Quadro Mayor's Award for the best architectural project of 2018. You can read more about the award here.
