Residents of Bielsko-Białaare looking forward to the opening of a beach on the Bialka River. This is probably one of the things that Bielsko-Biala residents really needed. The charming city under the mountains has lacked contact with the ribbon of water dividing Bielsko and Biała. The beach is to be built as part of the Civic Budget.
The project for a Green City Beach has been submitted to the Bielsko Civic Budget. The investment is to include a green beach area, an activity zone for children and a climbing zone. The area is to be landscaped with small architecture.
Originally, the investment was to be completed by the end of May this year. Due to the COVID-19pandemic, the investors submitted a request to the City Council to postpone the completion date until June 30 this year.
As many as 767 Bielskans voted for the beach concept in the Budget. It will be the first, and so far, the only city beach. The project will be located in the long-forgotten Strzygowski Park, which stretches along Partyzantów Street, between Bobrova Street and the tributary of the Straconka stream to the Biała River. The contractor is a company from Milówka. The Bielsko-Biała local government will pay PLN 701,000 for the work.
