Nowa Huta in Krakow became the inspiration and main theme of the 25th edition of the National Meeting of Architecture Students. The term "experiment", which is the watchword of this year's meeting, refers to the Cracow district - a space unique in its kind. OSSA will already take place at the turn of August and September!
Krakow architecture and art students invite you to the 25th National Meeting of Architecture Students. This year's summer edition will be held between August 29 and September 6 in Krakow, and its motto will be "Experiment."
OSSA is an architectural workshop organized as a grassroots initiative of students, which for more than two decades has brought together adepts of architecture and architects from Poland and abroad. Their goal is to educate participants in an interdisciplinary way by bringing them into contact with representatives of various communities involved in discussions on architecture in the broadest sense.
This time the context for OSSA will be Kraków's Nowa Huta - a unique space, the fruit of an unprecedented architectural, technical and cultural experiment. In the 70 years since its creation, we will ask the question about the identity and future of the place and the meaning of architectural experiments. Through the prism of this issue, we will also look at the idea of OSSA and talk about the future of Polish architectural education.
For 8 days, more than 40 students from all over Poland will work under the guidance of esteemed architects, specialists and representatives of other socially engaged fields. The workshops will be enriched with numerous observations, lectures, panel discussions and city walks; all in order to have a frank and interdisciplinary conversation about what turns us on the most - architecture, the city and people.
Recruitment continues until August 6! The prerequisite is the development of an "Introduction". More details about recruitment and the summer edition on the OSSA website.
