The award went to the Student Pavilion on the campus of the Technical University, which is primarily designed to break down hierarchical barriers in the university environment, allowing both academic staff and students to use the facility freely. Consisting of a network of walkways and platforms, the building is decentralized in nature. The square-plan pavilion is made of lightweight construction consisting of wood and steel. The building's facade is made of glass, allowing the facility to be completely open.
