The 4th International Biennale of Interior Architecture inAW 2020 will be held in Cracow, Poland, from March 7 to 31. This year's edition will be dedicated to thinking about the future of design and designing the future according to the slogan "IN THE FUTURE".
The 21st century is a time of major cultural, economic, technological, social changes and shaping the area of our lives. The architecture that surrounds us is a space equally tangible and intangible, filled with content, emotions, a system of interconnections, dependencies and interactions.
This year's sixth edition of the Biennale, under the theme "in (the) FUTURE_perspective of the art of space_inAW 2020" , is dedicated to thinking about the future of design in the context of changing human relations and the relationship of man with his environment. A non-linear process, based on empathy and experimentation, tools derived from strategic foresight, is moving towards prototyping tomorrow. The shape of the space we live in is the product of planned and completely accidental actions, better and worse interventions, successful and unsuccessful objects and places, depending on increasingly new environmental and social aspects.
The International Biennale of Interior Architecture brings together outstanding artists from Poland and Europe. During the event, their creative manifestos will be presented, also by all Interior Design Faculties from Poland and Europe cooperating with the Cracow faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts. An important point will be the student design competition under the slogan: "The Future is Now! future living / future experience / future humanity", the main prize of which is an index to Interior Design studies of the second degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
