Supermunicipalities - results of the plebiscite! Opole, Radom, Lublin, Rzeszów, Plock!

22 of May '20

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the rebirth of local governments in Poland, Gazeta Wyborcza organized a poll for Supermunicipalities. Residents of a given city could vote for, in their opinion, the most important positive change brought about by the activities of local governments. Voting lasted until April 30. What are the residents of Opole, Radom, Lublin, Rzeszow and Plock most proud of?

Opole

The biggest success of Opole, which won an overwhelming number of votes, is the Municipal Public Library! In second place was the establishment of the University of Opole and the Opole University of Technology. Third place went to the defense of the Opole province.

Radom

Bicycle infrastructure is the greatest pride of Radom residents. It collected 36% of the votes. Second place also provides Radom residents with a reason to be proud - the events of Radom's June '76, and third place went to the development of café-restaurantculture.

Lublin

Lublin stands for culture - in first place stood two theaters: the NN Theater and the Old Theater. Their establishment has transformed Lublin's culture. Festivals - Carnaval Sztukmistrzów, Theater Confrontations, Jarmark Jagielloński and Other Sounds- also contributed. Third place went to the creation of Lublin Airport - it garnered 141 votes.

Rzeszow

The greatest pride of Rzeszow residents is their president-visionary Tadeusz Ferency, to whom the city owes its dynamic development. In second place was the crystal clear tap water that residents can enjoy. Third place went to the creation of the Aviation Valley.

Plock

Residents of Plock consider the creation of the Solidarity Bridge to be the biggest success of recent years. For Plock residents, the most important thing is the development of their city, hence the road revolution came in second place. Like Rzeszow residents in Plock, everyone can enjoy clean water.
