We have completed the online voting for the Audience Award - the best project participating in the student competition for the interior design of theCommon Space, i.e. the courtyard of the new headquarters of the Faculties of Interior Design and Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow . Our poll included 51 projects admitted to the final of the competition. The largest number of votes(1027), and thus the first place was awarded to the thesis "Ocean Surface" by Paulina Bednarz.
The international student competition was held this year for the eighth time. The task of male and female students was to design the courtyard space of the headquarters of the Faculty of Interior Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow on Syrokomla Street. The works were judged according to the following criteria: idea and visionary design solutions, feasibility of the project, functionality and diversity of use, creative contribution to arranging the space of social and interpersonal relations, context of the place and the user, aesthetics, consideration of social life, and artistic and individual level of design presentation.
The entries were judged by a jury consisting of Prof. Andrzej Bednarczyk, Ph.D. - JM Rector of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow; Prof. Takeshi Sukegawa - architect, China Academy of Art, Japan/China;
Prof. George Katodrytis - architect, American University of Sharjah, UAE; Leopold Ajami - philosopher, Novel Philosophy Academy, Lebanon/ZEA; dr. hab. Szymon Hanczar - interior architect, Faculty of Interior Design, Design and Scenography, Academy of Fine Arts Wrocław; Katarzyna Księżopolska - editor-in-chief of Magazif; dr. hab. Mateusz Wróblewski prof. UAP - interior architect, Faculty of Architecture and Design, UAP Poznań; prof. dr. hab. Tomasz Daniec - graphic artist, Dean of the Faculty of Graphics, Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts Cracow; prof. dr. hab. Marek Blazucki - interior architect, Dean of the Faculty of Interior Design, Academy of Fine Arts Cracow.

At the end of May, Architecture & Business gave a vote to its male and female readers, announcing a competition for the Audience Award. Male and female Internet users were able to vote for a month for their favorite project, out of 51 works admitted to the finals.Dr.
Paulina Bednarz's work "Ocean Sufrace"was the winner, with the project receiving 1,027 votes. The author will receive from us a diploma and a one-year subscription to the monthly magazine "A&B". Second place was won by the work of Katarzyna Tokarz, receiving 877 votes, and the podium is closed by the work of Oliwia Tasiemska with 508 votes.
