On September 25 we learned the results of an open, one-stage competition organized by the Municipality of Wroclaw for the development of an architectural concept for the School and Kindergarten Complex together with the development of the school plot in Cinnamon Street in Wroclaw.

The main prize, in addition to a cash award of PLN 50,000, was to invite the winner to negotiations, with the aim of awarding a public contract for the development of the design documentation and providing author's supervision in the form of a sole-source contract.
The Competition Jury, composed of Piotr Fokczynski (chairman), Tadeusz Sawa-Borysławski (referee), Elżbieta Urbanek, Jaroslaw Delewski andAleksandra Komarow awarded two prizes - the first place went to the project of the Wroclaw-based Maćków Pracownia Projektowa studio, and the second to the proposal of the team of the Krakow offices Artur Jasiński i Wspólnicy Biuro Architektoniczne, GSBK Biuro Konstrukcyjne and BFM Projekt.

In addition, the Competition Jury awarded four equal honorable mentions: to Studio Architektura Kwadrat from Gdynia, the Warsaw office FAAB Architektura, M.O.C. Architekci from Katowice and the Warsaw office NM architekci.
The functional-utility program for the school and kindergarten complex in the Lipa Piotrowska estate includes an elementary school building for one thousand students, a kindergarten for two hundred children, as well as land development into sports fields, green areas, playgrounds, small architecture, internal communications, an entrance plaza and a parking lot.
