Under the name RB23 is a boutique residence by Pawel Lis Architects. The lump of the single-family house in Sekocinski Las near Warsaw is a light, dynamic composition, consisting of three cuboids. Each of them - clad in clinker tile - houses a different function.

RB23 is an almost 300-square-meter house set in a forest garden with a swimming pool and relaxation area. On the eastern side of the plot, a perpendicular building sited parallel to the road houses the living area. Walking towards the entrance, we pass the furthest block intended for the garage. An alley made of large-format architectural concrete panels leads to a glass vestibule, where a large square window frames the house's stairs.

Once inside the residence, the view opens to a spacious living room with a fireplace and dining room, and a kitchen with an island. On the other side of the corridor are - a study, a guest room, a large dressing room and a toilet. The two zones are divided by a single flight staircase freely supported on the floor ceiling. Thanks to their openwork gear construction and glass railing, they give the impression of lightness. The three-meter height of the rooms and the lack of concrete stringers over the large window openings optically enlarges the space.

Relaxation in the forest garden

From the living room, you can access the outdoor terrace through sliding large windows. In the shade under the overhang of the balcony, sofas have been placed overlooking the garden. Instead of a large indoor swimming pool, homebuyers can enjoy a heated pool module with a jacuzzi, set in a platform of exotic wood. Next to it, the architects designed a covered annex (with a hidden sound system) - used for a dining area on warm days. The rest area overlooks the orderly forest greenery. In the garden, in addition to perennial pines and oaks, there are plantings of junipers, yews and barberries, as well as lavender and catnip.

The third cuboid is the floor of the building erected on the lump of the first floor, which is the most characteristic element of the whole establishment. From the entrance side it is cut by a long narrow window, pressed deep into the wall. This effect is accentuated by diagonal walls framed by the ceramic narrow frame of the facade. The first floor is a private zone, with two children's rooms with a bathroom, the parents' bedroom with a bathroom and dressing room, and a laundry room. From the rooms you can access the balcony, which at the same time provides a canopy for the outdoor relaxation area.

In addition to standard installations, the house is equipped with recuperation, underfloor heating and an intelligent light and sound management system. The exterior sound system was hidden in the lining of the roofing. Large-format windows were made with an aluminum ironwork system, and the facade was made of clinker tiles.
