Near Lodz will stand another "RE: STARK HOUSE" - a house designed by Marcin Tomaszewski. The austere form of the building harmonizes with the green surroundings - the forest and wild fields adjacent to the plot. The house's sizable glazing will enable a sense of closeness to the landscape, opening it up to nature.
400 m² is the area of the building, which will be built on a plot of 3600 m², in the village of Tuszyn near Lodz. The site chosen by the investors for the house is surrounded by trees and located in a secluded area of the forest. However, as it turned out, its immediate vicinity also brought some difficulties.
In this project, it was crucial to determine the boundaries of the development for the house - we had to move 12 meters away from all the boundaries of the plot, due to the surrounding forest on exactly three sides. This was related to the technical conditions imposed by the current construction law ," explains architect Marcin Tomaszewski of the REFORM Architekt studio.
After maintaining the necessary spacing despite the large size of the plot, there was not much space left for the house. So it was the size of the area set aside for development that forced the oblong shape of the building, which will eventually stand in the middle of the plot.

internal layout matters
In addition to the solid design, the architect has also separated the technical zones, the living area, the space for the living room, the swimming pool, which will be located on the first floor, and the owners' bedroom designed upstairs. The windows will face the forest so that the homeowners can enjoy the view of the surrounding nature and privacy.
Although I specialize in architecture, I always discuss with clients the number of rooms and the internal layout of the house. It is important how the spaces will function with each other, so at the meeting with the investor I determine the floor plan and the massing at the same time ," reveals Marcin Tomaszewski.
The construction of the house is traditional. The materials used in the project are primarily glass and concrete. REFORM Architekt studio uses traditional and proven construction methods for each project, which guarantees solid and durable realizations.
The house "RE: STARK HOUSE" is in the design phase fully approved by the client. The expected completion date is the end of June 2021.
