We present another video in our series of short talks by architects, urban planners, scientists, politicians, activists and people associated with architecture and its related fields, "#Video Talks about the City." This time, we present conversations conducted during the Open Eyes Economy Summit 2022 congress at the ICE Krakow Congress Center. The theme of this year's edition was credibility.
Question:
How do you assess the New Żerniki housing project in Wroclaw?
Dr. Rafał Dutkiewicz - Polish entrepreneur and local government official, the first directly elected mayor of Wrocław in 2002, held office continuously for 4 terms until 2018. As of April 2019, he was in Berlin with the elite Richard von Weizsäcker Academy at the invitation of the Bosch Foundation. In early 2020, he became a Senior Fellow at the Democracy Study Center in Kiev. He has been associated with several startups dealing with cutting-edge trends in food production. A member of the council of the University of Wroclaw, he was for many years a member and then an honorary member of the Senate of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. He was awarded honorary membership of Academia Europaea for his contributions to the development of science in Europe. He is also an honorary member of the American think-tank Atlantic Council.
