At the beginning of the 20th century, Poland's largest and, by the standards of the time, most modern power plant was established in the capital. In 2001 it ceased operations after working almost continuously since 1904. The nearly 54,000-square-meter former power plant buildings now house a new shopping center.
Today, the power plant building houses 3 Class A office buildings on 22,000 sqm of space, and you'll also find 18,000 sqm of retailand restaurant space, as well as Poland's first Beauty Hall - 1,500 sqm of space dedicated to beauty & wellness services and products for both women and men.
The center is home to the vsf-creative Food Hall, designed by the vsf-creative studio, which offers a wide range of dining options, including 17 culinary concepts serving cuisine from many corners of the world and 3 bars and 12 full-service restaurants.
The Powiśle Power Plant features 90 prestigious apartments for rent, decorated in three different styles: minimalist, industrial and classic. Customers will also be able to enjoy a 4-starboutique hotel operated by Barceló Hotel Group (scheduled to open in 2021).
The authors of the redevelopment of Elektrownia Powiśle are the architectural studio {tag:Studio}. Construction of the complex began in 2016. The grand opening took place on May 20 this year.
