The winners of the Mies van der Rohe Award 2022 - one of the most prestigious awards in the world of architecture - were announced today.
For years, the Mies van der Rohe Foundation has been awarding the prize to contemporary realizations, recognizing the best building practices, timeless values and ideas relevant to 21st century architecture. Twenty-five realizations from Poland were nominated for the competition, two of which were shortlisted. We wrote about them on our portal. The short list included the Great Synagogue Memorial Park of the NArchitekTURA studio in Oświęcim and the Local Activity Center in Rybnik of the MWArchitekci studio.
Five realizations by European studios qualified for the finals, as well as two additional ones, singled out for their good future prospects. We presented the finalists here.

The winner of this year's poll was the Town House project by Grafton Architects, a realization by the architect duo, winners of the 2020 Pritzker Prize.
