On the day of the beginning of the calendar autumn, especially for you, we have created a review of the most interesting projects involving the use or inspiration of mushrooms. The real season for chanterelles, rufous or boletes is still ahead of us. Our list of mushrooms includes their use in design, as well as architecture. We invite you to join us!
mushroom in the house
The slogan about fungus in the house has rather pejorative connotations. Nevertheless, it is worth looking at this issue from a different, more practical side. Polish designer Marek Glogowski uses the material mycelium in his projects to create lamps, chairs or stools. The designer talks about the use of this material on the A&B portal.

mushroom in the forest
If the mushroom in the house surprised us, the fungus in the forest did not. It will be different in the case of this project. The MOZI design team created HUBY, a street lamp dedicated to the space of Gdynia's forest park in Oksywie. This unique lighting refers to the shape of the hubs overgrowing the forest trees.

mushroom - home
Once we're done discussing the use of mushrooms in furniture, taking inspiration from their shape for park lighting or reusing them as a utilitarian object, let's take a look at how a mushroom became the inspiration for a home design. Barbara Ziemba of Prosty Architekt studio was inspired by the shape of a mushroom to create a house that blends in with the forest surroundings.

staying with the theme of autumn
The moment you decide that going out for mushrooms in autumn is a good idea, you should look for a house. In the pages of the A&B portal, we presented a set of houses in which any autumnist will relax.
