Jacek Czudak and Janusz Polanski share their experience from studying architecture at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia. Hear about their Erasmus adventure, the universal way of teaching in Bulgaria, the many positive surprises, learning new programs, including parametric ones, and, of course, traveling.
Jacek Czudak
Student at the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. Since October, also a student at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia, as a participant in the ERASMUS+ program, where he established cooperation with one of the architectural offices. He is active in the student research clubs eco_SYSTEM and Parametric Design and a player in the student badminton club. Graduate of the Maria Sklodowska-Curie VIII High School with Bilingual Branches in Katowice. Appreciated participant of both local and international competitions, including: member of the award-winning duo in the 22nd international competition KOŁO 2020", or the team awarded in the international competition 24h +IFPandemic 2021. Co-author of exhibitions. Privately, his passions are parametric architecture, fencing and motorization.
Janusz Polanski
Student of the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. Since February studying Architecture in Sofia under the ERASMUS+ program, member of the Parametric Design study circle. Graduate of the Secondary School no. I im. Karola Miarki in Mikołów. Takes an active part in architectural competitions. Member of the team awarded in the international competition 24h +IFPandemic 2021. Participant of drawing workshops Ferrari, Pininfarina led by Maurizio Corbi. Involved in executive projects of the architecture and construction industry, as well as art exhibitions at the Silesian Museum. Outside of architecture, his interests include the history of music and cinematography and contemporary art. In his spare time he is involved in graphic design.
