Two months ago, during the Prologue of the Open Eyes Economy Summit — the International Congress on the Economy of Value, representatives of various communities — architecture, urban planning, development, science, culture, media and urban activists — solemnly signed the Pact for Krakow's Space, a declaration of common concern for a better city space. You'll hear about each of its demands on Radio Krakow.
The Pact for Space (Pakt dla Przestrzeni), initiated by Małgorzata Tomczak, editor-in-chief of A&B, consists of ten demands touching on issues related to the creation of a coherent, thoughtful and inclusive spatial policy. It's a grassroots response to costly spatial chaos, urban sprawl and the scattering of voices of those interested in fixing it.
