Architects propose two approaches to designing a child's room. Stereotypically girly - full of pink, with golden elements, and less bursting with color, where the colors are subdued, but the interior is no less welcoming. With children, you can only design the framework of the space - what happens to it afterwards depends only on the limits of its occupant's imagination.
Architects from {tag:pracownie} prove that a child's room can be cozy even if it does not shimmer with a fever of colors. It is not only the colors that shape the space, but also the accessories. They are the ones that make an interior kept in light grays can still be warm and a place for successful play. In both proposals, the choice of wall wallpaper and furniture draws attention.

Basia Hyjek: What was the main inspiration for these designs?
Malgorzata Liebhart: The pink room was supposed to be sweet and candy-like. The main idea in creating the second project was to design a space completely different from most children's rooms. We wanted to show that a child's room without typical children's colors can also be interesting.
Basia: Where did you get the idea for such a selection of colors and materials?
Margaret: In the pink room we wanted to create a typically girly, sweet space. That's why there is so much pink, stucco and stylized furniture. In addition, "sweet" gold-colored details like dragonfly-shaped handles appear here.
The colors used in the second concept are unusual - they are subdued grays, whites and elements of shades of muted lime color. The realization of such a room was for us an experiment on the constantly asked question - does a child's room have to be "cute"?

Basia: Where did you get such an idea for dividing the space?
Margaret: The space needs to be versatile for the child. In this layout of the room, you can spread out the bed and invite a friend or colleague to spend the night. In addition, the ratio of room area to storage space is maintained. The child's room must always grow with the child, and the proposed layout must be able to be modified.
