A simple form does not mean easy to produce. Possibly, it is even more difficult. Designers from Mleko Living have set the bar even higher - the bookcases can be transformed according to current needs, making them almost eternal furniture. You can choose the set that suits you best.
In addition to bookcases, the offer also includes display cabinets, consoles, flowerbeds and modular pieces that can be bought when needed. Furniture Mleko Living fits into any space - not only modern, but also more traditional, where they can break the style of the space arrangement, while not disturbing it.

Basia: How did the idea for the bookcases come about?
Katarzyna Załuska: The project was born out of necessity. Specifically, it was the need for a bookcase that would look light, but at the same time be stable. We searched the offer of many brands and, unfortunately, only one of these conditions was always met. What's more, since we are a small company, we wanted a solution that would allow us to create a rich offer from a few elements and at the same time be attractive to the customer: hence the modularity.
Basia: What was their main inspiration?
Catherine: You could say that the main inspiration was the well-known String bookcase design, which we used before. Unfortunately, due to its too frail design, the shelves were bending under the weight of our books. Therefore, we decided to reinvent our bookcase from scratch.

Basia: Please tell us about the products - what is the creative process like?
Catherine: We started by brainstorming a clever solution for connecting the bookcase modules. This was the longest stage - hundreds of sketches. Once we came up with the right idea, there was a phase of modeling the furniture in 3D on the computer, i.e. looking for the right proportions. At the same time, we printed the details of the connections on a 3D printer. Finally, a 1:1 prototype was created with the right materials, on the basis of which we made the final adjustments.
Basia: Do you use your own creations in your homes?
Catherine: Yes as much as possible - the bookcase is one of the most important pieces of furniture in our apartment!
