Good residential architecture is one that helps create connections. One that makes a place out of a plot of land and a house out of square meters. One that, years later, seems an obvious, necessary part of a neighborhood or city. One that creates a cohesive space out of the maze of ideas, regulations, cost ratios and conflicting interests, and offers residents respite and sometimes even a sense of pride.
