Connecting people
The BOCONCEPT X BIG collection was inspired by the Japanese art form of rope tying, aimed at establishing human bonds. "Nawa" means rope in Japanese and the term "Nawabari" translates as rope stretching.

- When we started working on the collection, we were looking for a new way to express and represent the forms of furniture. We were interested in the lines that are created when a material is tied by a rope. The result is sculptural, organic shapes that form the core of the entire furniture family — says Jakob Lange of global architecture studio BIG — Bjarke Ingels Group.

Sustainability
The collection consists of an armchair, two sizes of sofa and puff as well as two coffee tables. The furniture can be set up individually as distinctive pieces or together to create a modular cohesive space. The sofas, armchair and puffs are certified to ensure that the products have low chemical emissions and impact on indoor air quality. Each component has also been tested for the existence of harmful substances.
