Seamor International Ltd. has been in business for more than 25 years and specializes in frozen and fresh fish trade and fish processing. The company has recently expanded its production facility, located at 22 Granitowa Street in Szczecin. The new hall, covering an area of more than 1,000 sqm, features Flowfresh antibacterial polyurethane-cement flooring by Flowcrete, a leading expert in this technology.
Seamor's business is guided by values such as health and tradition. The company offers high-quality fresh, frozen, smoked fish, as well as seafood, 99% of which are wild-caught, non-breeding species, meaning they are not treated with pharmaceuticals or feed additives. The company uses only natural smoking technology based on the traditional method of brining and smoking with natural beech wood chips, excluding artificial preservatives, chemical flavor enhancers or liquid smoke concentrates.

Seamor's production facility has implemented the HACCP system and the international food safety standard IFS. The company mainly produces smoked fish at the plant, such as mackerel, herring, salmon, tuna, treval, redfish, eel, whitefish, halibut, grenadier, cod, haddock, shrimp, depending on the types of fish in various forms, including as carcasses, whole fish, fillets, cuts, strips, skewers and fillets.
In connection with the development of its business, Seamor has recently expanded its fish processing plant. In the new hall, on an area of more than 1,000 sqm, aspecialized Flowfresh SR antimicrobial resin floor was made for use in the food industry, in wet areas. In the production areas, the investor opted for an ochre-colored flooring system, while in the circulation corridors it was red.

Flowfresh SR is a system proven in several hundred implementations in fish plants around the world. This state-of-the-art flooring is made with polyurethane resins and carefully selected aggregates and cements. It contains Polygiene® - an antibacterial additive based on silver ions that reduces the amount of bacteria on its surface by up to 99%, and the addition of quartz sand gives it anti-slip properties to prevent slips and falls of people walking on it.
We were persuaded to use Flowfresh flooring in our new production hall by a reference list of facilities in our industry and the prestigious certification from the HACCP International organization. We wanted a system that would be durable and resistant to the intense operating conditions typical of fish processing, yet easy to keep clean. The seamless resin floor made in our processing plant, integrated with a point drainage system and tightly connected to the plinths at the interface with the layered walls, performs its function well, " said Pawel Wręga, vice president of Seamor International Ltd.

Typical stresses on floors in fish processing plants include heavy traffic from product transport carts and foot traffic, contact with organic substances, including natural animal fats, and intensive cleaning methods using hot water or pressurized steam. The Flowfresh SR floors at Seamor's fish processing plant were made in a thickness of 6 mm, which provides mechanical, chemical and thermal strength suitable for conditions in this type of enterprise.
The general contractor for the investment involving the expansion of the Seamor fish processing plant in Szczecin was PTB NICKEL Sp. z o.o. Zachodniopomorski Branch. CHEMEX SYSTEM Sp. z o.o. was responsible for the application of Flowfresh SR resin floors. Sp.k. of Piła, an authorized Flowcrete contractor.
