Photovoltaics is one of the fastest growing sectors of the Polish economy. Which photovoltaic technologies have the best prospects?

The future of photovoltaic architecture

On the one hand, we have traditional photovoltaic installations based on classic panels manufactured mainly by Chinese manufacturers. Here we can see a trend toward designing ever-larger rectangular solar panels, with outputs now reaching 550Wp and dimensions of 2.5 cad meter or more.

Easily modifiable manufacturing processes and blazed trails in panel transportation issues carry a major advantage - lower installation prices. Unfortunately, this often comes at the expense of maintaining the attractive appearance of the building. An additional aspect that is becoming increasingly significant is the issue of installation. The combination of tile and photovoltaic panel is also an easy way to cover the roof. No support structure is required for installation, which significantly reduces installation costs and saves time.

On the other hand, we are seeing more and more alternative products that do not require us to compromise. Modern solutions are integrated into the structure of the building, allowing us to increase aesthetics while maintaining functionality. One such product is the innovative photovoltaic tile.

Thephotovoltaic t ile copes well with partial shading and allows modules to be arranged at different angles - each panel works independently of each other while generating maximum efficiency. The system includes panels that generate energy in sunny areas, as well as twin metal tile modules without photovoltaics used as supplements. The photovoltaic tile can be installed as partial or complete coverage of a given roof slope.

Aesthetics and technology

Products integrated with phot ovoltaics are winning the hearts of Europeans. The technology of combining building materials with panels makes it possible to achieve a unique effect of the building of the future. What mainly distinguishes our tile from other photovoltaic products is the ease of installation, aesthetic qualities and high performance," says Vladislav Farafonov, Electrotile's main shareholder.

This is confirmed by numerous international awards - German Design Award, Red Dot Design Award. In addition, choosing a solar roof is an ecological solution that can positively affect the future of the entire planet.

Last but not least, which can be an important factor in the success of the project, is keeping the cost of the investment at a level comparable to the cost of installing a roof and a traditional photovoltaic installation. According to the product developers, this was the main consideration in developing the production technology.

From the internet to integrated photovoltaics

Electrotile is a high-tech company consisting of engineers and technicians with excellent research facilities. The management team comes from both the energy market, but also has several successes in developing Internet technology companies. Vladislav Farafonov participated in the creation of well-known technology startups such as Modern Company, Cat Napoleon, Senuto, Uxeria, Yeld Riser. Some of them have achieved success in foreign markets.

The group has already launched production of photovoltaic-integrated products, sold in Benelux, and the company is now forming more and more partnerships also with Scandinavian countries, where roof aesthetics are of key importance to customers.

Electrotile is growing rapidly in the photovoltaic market performing several hundred installations per month. In the previous year, turnover increased sixfold to PLN 30 million, also entering foreign markets. The company is currently in the process of investment - launching a production plant for photovoltaic tiles.
