In October 2019, during the 8th edition of the industry conference, the Polish Association of Real Estate Development Companies introduced eight superheroes. Or rather, they introduced themselves - the Eco Avengers marched onto the stage bravely and dropped a bomb: The Decalogue of the Last Chance, which they presented, was intended not only to open the eyes of the guests gathered at the National Forum of Music, but also to direct their attention to the actions to be taken soon. This is what soon came to pass, manifesting itself in the unassuming publication "A guide from developer to eco-hero, or how to save the world and not go bankrupt."
Eco Avengers is a team of independent specialists, established by the Polish Association of Developer Companies. They include: scientists, specialists in the fields of design, urban studies, greenery, climate and architecture, and even a high school student - local Greta Thunberg. An inconspicuous red booklet like a warning sign and a red card informs that the measure has run its course and it's high time to take action. A layman in the flood of information about the climate crisis will grab his head. Which information is proven, who to believe, where to start? Rest assured, Eco Avengers have done their homework - their guide is accessible, contains verified and selected data, and is a pleasure to read. Simple, contemporary language shortens the distance and talks about serious issues in a cheerful, clear and readable way. Numerous photos, numbers that do not overwhelm, make you want to get more. The publication is available on the Eco Avengers website, so anyone interested can take a look.

It's a guide that offers a wide range of solutions to the problems facing modern cities. Climate change, droughts and downpours, urban heat island and concretosis, excess cars in cities, the vision of blackout, depleting resources... The field for implementing good solutions is wide. The Eco Avengers say "enough" and show in an accessible way how the problems can be combated. The guide is aimed primarily at developers, who, by becoming eco-heroes, can write themselves in an ecological way in the pages of history and in the fabric of the city, and disenchant the patch of "bad developer". However, the publication can also be an inspiring tool for architects, contractors and city officials.
