Each room of the OG apartment in Gdansk is dominated by one color. So we have a peach and sea green bedroom, one green bathroom, another orange. The living room combines all these colors in a harmonious arrangement. When creating the interior, the architects wanted to quote the architecture of the historic center of Gdansk in a non-literal way. They succeeded!
Gdansk is one of the most popular tourist cities in Poland. It owes this not only to its access to the sea and beautiful golden beaches, which lure visitors every year. It is also due to its distinctive architecture and unique urban climate. The increased curiosity of tourists unfortunately manifests itself, as in any such city, in an efflorescence of cheapness and flashiness. Café and restaurant signs sometimes "roar" to lure the passerby to their doorsteps, and when this succeeds, the interior is little more different from the exterior.
An interesting counterbalance to this type of arrangement is that designed by architects from {tag:Studio}. The main goal of the designers was to create a harmonious interior in which everyone would feel comfortable. This assumption determined the thinking behind the design, as the apartments were created with renting in mind. The interiors are inspired by the historic architecture of the center of Gdansk, in whose neighborhood the apartments are located. As the architects themselves say:
We wanted to create modern interiors that would be associated with Gdansk, but not become a literal quote. The palette of materials and colors used is a loose interpretation of the character of the historic part of the city.

Typical seaside rental interiors skew the theme of shells, boats or shells and boats. The architects at PB/STUDIO were also tempted to play with a nautical element - delicate waves on the wallpaper, reminiscent of a pencil sketch. In this case, it is subtle, harmonizing with the strong color of the rough sea, placed in some areas of the bedroom. The light herringbone wooden floor mutes the colorful arrangement, while at the same time binding it together. An interesting solution was the creation of a rattan panel behind the bed in one of the bedrooms, which added coziness to the room. There are more such details here - orange grout matching the color of the sink cabinet, or green stone harmonizing with the suspended console of almost identical color.
It is safe to say that many of us would like to live in such an interior, and not just for a while.
