Voting for the Audience Award—student project of a concrete house in an urban landscape
We encourage you to vote for the Audience Award—the best project made as part of the 23rd edition of the student competition „Concrete Architecture—Game of Lumps—House in an Urban Landscape”. To indicate your favorite, just cast your vote for it—you can vote only once for one project
Second-year, fourth-semester students of the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology faced a competition task—designing a detached single-family house in the city — as part of the Residential Design course taught by Prof. Tomasz Kozłowski. The group leaders were Dr. Przemysław Bigaj, Wojciech Ciepłucha, Dr. Anna Mielnik, Prof. PK, Piotr Stalony-Dobrzański, Dr. Marek Początko, Dr. Monika Gała-Walczowska, Grzegorz Twardowski. Urban planning consultations were conducted by Prof. Justyna Kobylarczyk. The organizers of the competition were: the Department of Architectural Design WA PK, the Association of Cement Producers.
competition requirements
The students had to make a design of a detached single-family house with a usable area of 200 to 250 square meters, on no more than three floors. The building was to include a vestibule, hallway, living room, library, dining room, kitchen, guest room, three bedrooms, bathrooms, utility room and a two-car garage. The scope of the study had to include a site plan, plan of all floors, selected vertical section, detail, elevations with shadows, perspective drawing, axonometric drawing, descriptive part, folder with inspirations and any additional elaborations (colors, visualizations, additional sections, axonometries). The results were technical drawings made in ink, perspective drawings, color drawings and visualizations of houses in 70×70 cm format.

* Voting lasts until September 3, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. It is allowed to cast only one vote for one work taking part in the voting for the Audience Award. The system allows more than one vote from the same IP to allow multiple people from the same network to vote, e.g. academic, architectural studio, etc. The allowed number of votes from one IP is 11. If more votes are cast by one person (by clearing cookies, changing IP locations, browser footprints and sessions, or using bots), it will result in the invalidation of such votes. In order to check the correctness of the voting mechanism, each work received one control vote from the A&B Editorial Board.
NOTE: The system counts all votes. After the voting is completed, all votes for each work will be checked for violations of the rules and invalidated if they violated these rules. The correct number of votes cast will be made public after checking the server logs when the voting results are published.
