The Italian brand Qeeboo needs no introduction to design lovers. Founded less than seven years ago in Milan by Stefano Giovannoni, it is recognized and appreciated around the world. The brand's distributor in Poland is BM Housing.
Qeeboo's designs are unmistakable. Colorful and witty, they tell unbelievable stories about a gorilla that ran with a flashlight, a shark that feeds on umbrellas, a giraffe that likes crystal chandeliers and a rabbit made of sincere gold.

The name of the company's art director attracts great designers, who have a chance to go wild and expand their imagination at Qeeboo: Studio Job, Andrea Branzi, Richard Hutten, Nika Zupanc or Marcantonio. Polish design fans certainly remember the brand's spectacular stands at the Warsaw Home fair. They gathered a large audience, and the opportunity to meet the stars of world design invited by the Polish distributor, BM Housing, aroused awe and thrill.
Those who were at the Salone del Mobile in Milan this year surely noticed the great return to the aesthetics of the 1980s and the fascination of the illustrious Ettore Sottas and his Memphis design group. The fashion for the colorful 1980s was visible not only in the trade fair halls. At the same time, a phenomenal cross-sectional exhibition "Memphis Again" was on display in Milan's Triennalle. As early as 1980, the artists associated with the group advocated the introduction of color, humor and individualism into applied design. Their crazy ideas at the time were appreciated by few, but opened the door for designs by brands such as Qeeboo.

In the latest collection from Milanese brand Stefano Giovannoni, the fascination with the aesthetics of the Memphis group is obvious. We are transported to the crazy 80's the fastest, because we are almost expressly transported to the new collection of five ceramic vases designed by the young Venice-born designer Marc Oggani. Here we have a colorful palm tree, a mouse and a duck. We'll also catch a glimpse of a pretty face and a drink with a palm tree. Another novelty from the same designer, which people with a sense of humor are sure to pay attention to, is the colorful, patterned seats - the inscription "Sit Here" does not leave the user much room for improvement. A similar catalog of patterns and colors adorns the pillowcases.

Marc Oggani has also designed a new collection of "Monsters" rugs for Qeeboo. This is a wonderful alternative to animal skins, fondly laid out in interiors for years. The designer proposed rugs in the shape of flattened, fairy-tale animals - tigers, panthers, crocodiles - which can loosely adorn the floor of animal lovers and activists for the protection of endangered species.

Qeeboo's latest offerings are very consistent in style. They use the same palette of strong colors and geometric patterns so characteristic of the Memphis Group's designs - triangles, circles, waves. And eyes that wink at us time and again.

Qeeboo's designs have also appeared in the BM Housing brand's offerings, which are in line with the existing design trend. This is the "Paco" coffee table made of the highest quality polypropylene (proj. S. Giovannoni), whose top is supported by an elephant's trunk, and Ron Arad' s playful "Don't F**K With The Mouse" armchair in two versions - upholstered and non-upholstered, which can be successfully used outdoors, in the garden or on the terrace. Also worth noting is a charming lamp with a bow by Studio Marcel Wanders. "Mabelle" comes in white and black finishes, in two sizes.

A bow is also the motif of the "Ribbon" chair and armchair designed by Slovenian - Nika Zupanc. The delicate, romantic chair was created especially for the Dior brand in 2013. Qeeboo offers it in many colors, including gold and powder pink. After the feminine chair came the wonderfully comfortable "Ribbon" chair, a seat made of polyurethane foam covered with fabric. It is available in four colors. In addition to the obligatory pink, its upholstery can be yellow, navy blue and burgundy.
