We present another video in our series of short talks by architects, urban planners, scientists, politicians, activists and people associated with architecture and its related fields, "#Video Talks about the City." This time, we present conversations conducted during the Open Eyes Economy Summit 2022 congress at the ICE Krakow Congress Center. The theme of this year's edition was credibility.
Question:
In your opinion, what does "city regeneration" consist of?
Answer:
Prof. Anna Januchta-Szostak - researcher and university teacher at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznan University of Technology. Expert in the field of adaptation of cities to climate change, planning of blue-green infrastructure and development of river valleys and integrated water management. She is a member of, among others, the Interdisciplinary Advisory Panel on Climate Crisis to the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Climate Council of the UN Global Compact Network Poland, the expert team of WaterLab Open Eyes Economy (OEE) and Retencja.pl, as well as the Committee on Climatology, Water Resources and Air Protection of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań. She is the winner of, among others, the Minister of Infrastructure's Award for Outstanding Achievements in Urban Planning and the KEN Medal, and the author of more than 130 scientific publications.
