Yawal S.A. -a leading supplier of architectural aluminum systems - will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2020. From its inception to the present day, the company has invariably co-shaped contemporary architectural trends, creating innovative solutions tailored to the needs of each project.

The beginnings of the company
Exactly September 14, 2020 marked thirty years since the opening of the now-defunct "Kaczorek" bar in Warsaw. - the first realization of PPH Yawal marking the symbolic date of the beginning of the company's operations. The passion of the company's founder - Edmund Mzyk - for technology and innovation contributed to Yawal's position as a pioneer of modern products in the aluminum joinery industry.
Initially, Yawal made constructions based on systems imported from Western Europe. However, gaining knowledge and experience in this field allowed the company to produce the first Polish system of thermally insulated profiles just three years after opening. It became a marker of quality on the market thanks to its very high level of energy efficiency for that time and revolutionary modern design. It was a breakthrough moment for the company. The first companies manufacturing structures from Yawala systems appeared, including PŚB Leszek Pluta, PPU HEGOR Sp. z o.o., BUD-AL Wiesław Mikuła, Z.P.U. TONTOR or ZIMNY Sp. z o.o. These entities continue to cooperate with Yawal today.

Soon, a series of investments were made, which included a paint shop and a thermal bridge department. Production of system accessories was launched. From a manufacturer of aluminum joinery, Yawal transformed itself into a system company not only distributing aluminum profiles for architectural needs, but having modern technologies and offering training services.
The young engineers joining the team valued the company's new approach to cooperation and product. Some of them still work for the company today. Director of Technical Support and Facility Sales Slawomir Bardzinski recalls:
Yawal gave its business partners and architects something unheard of in the early 1990s - technical support. We didn't just sell our product to customers, together with them we created the entire project from scratch. From the concept born in the investor's head to consultation with the architect and implementation of the joinery. Today this is the standard of operation of a system provider, at that time it was an extraordinary added value.
The company's customer-focused approach gave rise to the company's motto "To give shape to thoughts". Its essence lay in the freedom and liberty of creation that Yawal-produced technology gave to architects and investors. This motto has guided the company's activities to this day. The only things that have changed are the concepts and visions, which are increasingly bold, yet still possible to realize with Yawal systems.

Transformations and investments
In 1996, the legal form of the company was changed. YAWAL S.A. was established in place of the two previous companies. In this legal form, the company continues to function to this day. In 1998, Yawal S.A. formed Final S.A., and in 1999 the construction of the affiliated aluminum profile extrusion plant located in Dąbrowa Górnicza was completed.

In an era of growing and increasingly demanding competition also from foreign companies, with which YAWAL cooperated closely, and as a result of increasing demand for aluminum profile systems, the time came for further investments. In July 1997, spacious storage halls were built in a new building in Herby, and a highly efficient powder coating plant equipped, among other things, with a modern sewage treatment plant was put into operation. Even then Yawal S.A. was particularly concerned with environmental protection. In 2007, the opening of the new Finala pressing plant in Herby took place. In 2009-2010, the Group's paint shop was modernized, launching first a production line for woodgrain painting and then a fully automatic vertical powder coating line. In 2011, the machining department, high storage warehouse and prefabrication department were launched. In 2018, warehouses in Dąbrowa Górnicza were expanded due to increasing customer demand.
