Deckshield floors over 27,000 sq. ft. at Warsaw Unit, a Ghelamco office project with a distinctive Dragon Skin installation on the facade. This is another building by this developer at the Daszyńskiego traffic circle in Warsaw, after Warsaw Spire and Warsaw Hub, where this solution was used. Flowcrete resin floors have already been installed on more than 200,000 sq m in the capital's new business center, which is being built in Wola.
Warsaw Unit, an office building located at the Daszyńskiego traffic circle in Warsaw, whose developer is Ghelamco, is 202 meters high and has a stunning, timeless form. The skyscraper, designed by the Polish-Belgian Architecture Studio Projekt (PBPA), offers 59,000 sqm of office space and creates an optimal environment for business using modern technology. The building's parking lot features Flowcrete's specialized Deckshield garage flooring, which is created using polyurethane resins and quartz sand.

What makes the Warsaw Unit stand out in the cityscape is its distinctive façade, which features a dynamic art installation called Dragon Skin. It consists of thousands of moving elements and comes to life with every gust of wind, demonstrating the forces of nature.
The Warsaw Unit represents a holistic approach to user comfort, operational efficiency and safety, using high-tech tools. It is the first building in Poland to be equipped with a number of anti-pandemic solutions, such as UV lights installed in elevators and ventilation systems, or the ability to move around the building without touching it thanks to Signal OS, an operating system for office buildings.
The Warsaw Unit's parking lot, located on 8 above-ground and 3 underground floors, offers state-of-the-art infrastructure, including nearly 400 parking spaces, 13 charging stations for electric vehicles, and numerous amenities for cyclists, such as changing rooms, showers, racks, and a point for self-service bicycles.

On all levels of the Warsaw Unit's 17,000 sq m garage, specialized Deckshield garage flooring was installed, tailored to the building's specific structural conditions. A thicker-than-standard system was used on the bottom slab, while intermediate levels were floored with an additional layer of super-elastic polyurethane membrane, with a UV-resistant top coat applied locally on the above-ground floors.
Deckshield flooring systems are based on solvent-free polyurethane resins and quartz sand. They have a high ability to pierce cracks in the substrate, which is especially important for high-rise towers due to movements and vibrations of the structure. The addition of sand gives the coatings increased mechanical strength and anti-slip properties. The floors are also chemically resistant to fuels, automotive operating fluids, as well as chlorides contained in de-icing salts, the residues of which are brought in on vehicle tires in winter.
Deckshield flooring is available in a wide range of colors and allows for making markings that are legible and visible from a distance. At the Warsaw Unit parking lot, dark gray resins were used on parking spaces, while lighter gray shades were used on roads. Lines indicating traffic directions and parking space numbers are orange, special zones such as pedestrian paths, space at stairwell entrances and electric vehicle charging stations are green, and parking spaces for the disabled are blue.

In addition to the garages, Deckshield floors were also made in the Warsaw Unit in the technical rooms, with an area of about 9,000 m², and in the stairwells - with an area of 1,600 m². Dark gray stripes were made on each stair tread, and information on the number of calories burned while climbing was posted on the treads. The total length of pedestals made with Deckshield floors in this building reaches almost 10 kilometers (9700 mb.).
