Modern offices are increasingly combining elements of work and leisure spaces. For example, wallpapers designed according to individual patterns appear in them as inspirational details. We present some proposals from Muraspec, a manufacturer of object wallpapers, acoustic systems and decorative panels, which has been decorating walls in Polish offices for more than 20 years.
The most important role of wallpapers in commercial interiors, including offices, is to protect the walls from deterioration, everyday dirt and to mask any cracks in the plaster. It is in such situations that the increased performance of object wallpapers, which market claddings lack, comes in handy. A good object wallpaper has an outer coating made of compressed vinyl (resistant to abrasion and scratching) or a textile coating covered with tedlar, limiting surface soiling. Washability, scrubbability, UV resistance are properties of professional wallpapers essential in office spaces, hotels and restaurants. Next on the list of advantages are acoustic function (damping properties) and masking of micro cracks up to 4 mm.
Original designs
The target role of wallpaper in office interiors is also decorative. A wide selection of patterns, colors and textures of Muraspec object wallpapers allows interior designers to create aesthetically appealing walls. Geometric patterns, botanical motifs, abstractions, metal, glitter - there is virtually everything an interior designer or decorator can dream of. And if something isn't there, however, thanks to the Wallmotion service (large-format printing on vinyl backing), Muraspec can create it to the customer's order. On vinyl backings, the most common are scaled-up plants such as monstera leaves, banana trees, palm trees, there are also reproductions of paintings, graphics, old postcards or maps.
Domestication of space
Wallpaper, is one of those materials that makes the interior more "homey". This is influenced by the overall perception of the material by the user: a painted wall is flat and cool, a wallpaper wall always has texture, is warmer and pleasant to the touch which increases the level of safety. The texture of wallpaper, especially one like canvas or silk, carries positive associations. The most "warming to the space" is, of course, suede wallpaper, whose surface is unique in terms of texture. Suede can be found at Muraspec in a collection called Murasuede.
Decorative panels
This is one of the most impressive wall coverings. Muraspec offers designers decorative polycarbonate panels and panels made of natural or artificial felt (100% wool or 100% PET) with acoustic properties. Each type of panel mentioned is available in a range of attractive designs and colors, and each has properties that make it aesthetically appealing. For example, polycarbonate panels produced with honeycomb technology operate light in an unusual way, letting in the amount of light that provides the desired intimacy.
