Monika Konrad, director of the Municipal Spatial Planning and Development Strategies Studio in Warsaw, said that the institution will be liquidated by the end of the year.
"We would like to inform you that in accordance with Resolution No. 1.III/1616/2021 of the Council of the Capital City of Warsaw dated August 26 on the liquidation of the budget unit - the Municipal Spatial Planning and Development Strategy Workshop and the determination of the new form of execution of the tasks of this unit, as of December 31, 2021, the budget unit of the City of Warsaw called the Municipal Spatial Planning and Development Strategy Workshop is liquidated." - We read in an official letter sent by the institute's director, Monika Konrad.

Recall that the Municipal Spatial Planning and Development Strategy Laboratory is an organizational unit, operating within the organizational structure of the City Council as a budgetary unit. Substantive supervision over the activities of the "Studio" is exercised by the Director of the Office of Architecture and Spatial Planning.
The basic tasks of the institution include the preparation of planning studies resulting from the Law on Planning and Spatial Development:

drafts of local spatial development plans for selected areas of the city, including ecophysiographic studies, forecasts of environmental impact and forecasts of the financial effects of adopting a local plan,

draft of the Study of Conditions and Directions for Spatial Development of the Capital City of Warsaw,

Performing other tasks necessary for planning the development of Warsaw, resulting from the current needs of the city authorities:- work

analytical and spatial studies,

transportation analyses and studies,

social and demographic analyses.
