What will a modern coworking space designed by students of Poznan University of Arts look like? Come see an exhibition of their designs during the Arena Desing Fair.
For several years, we have been observing an increase in the popularity of office coworking spaces. It is estimated that by the end of 2018, their space had increased by three hundred percent in Poland compared to the previous year. Coworking spaces do not resemble traditional offices. Their most important feature is flexibility: they foster networking, but also provide opportunities for quiet work. They provide a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and no distractions. This is a new challenge for designers. Also, a team of students from the 19th UAP Education and Design Program, decided to face this topic as well, looking for new solutions, arranging and furnishing coworking spaces.

During the Arena Design Fair, which will begin on February 25, 2020 at MTP, the latest projects created as part of the 19th PE-P of the University of Arts in Poznań will be presented. The opening ceremony will take place at 14:00 (pavilion No. 3 stand 7). In the midst of it, you will be able to see:
- BANFY (design: Klaudia Janikowska and Yuliya Neronskaya) - a seat with a playful form, rich colors and lightweight construction. Its base follows the position of the seated person, tilting by up to five degrees. A wide range of seat height adjustment provides the user with comfort regardless of the type of workstation.
- MOBILIS (designed by Kornelia Janowska, Dzianis Pilipuk) - a collection of office furniture created for coworking spaces. The authors tried to solve the problem of mobility in shared workspaces. Movable elements of the collection allow the user to freely arrange the space around him. Thanks to the multifunctionality of the furniture, separate rooms for meetings, gatherings or quiet work are no longer necessary. It is enough to appropriately use the furniture depending on the situation. Elements of the collection include a large table for joint work, an island, a dressing table and a desk with a variable height top.
- WOOD ART ORANGE, WOOD ART BLUE, BASKET digital pattern designs by Lucja Król
- DOMATOR (designed by Lucja Król, Agnieszka Hetmann, Jacqueline Sylvie Popek, Natalia Wrzecion) - a collection of office furniture consisting of four cabinets. Asymmetrical positioning of the fronts and extending them beyond the space of the alcoves allows to give up handles and refers to the patchwork pattern. The lowered fronts allow easy putting away of documents without pulling out drawers. A magnetic card lock personalizes the furniture. An interesting element of the collection is the fronts made of Rauvisio board, on which you can make notes.
The University of Arts in Poznan is also showing two other exhibitions at MTP:
-
"From Idea to Product," which presents projects carried out by interdisciplinary teams composed of professors, assistant professors, assistants, lab assistants and doctoral students at UAP, in cooperation with business supported by the European Union.
-
"Yields" presenting thesis and semester works of students of Design, and Furniture Design at UAP, who attempted to analyze and respond to important human needs in the context of the culture of consumerism.
