Located in the Old Town in Sandomierz, a place with a not-so-sweet past, thanks to the design of architects from the Warsaw studio of Filip Domagała - DOMagała design turned into a real Pleasure Factory - pleasure not only for the eye, but also (in this matter we must trust the assurances of the designers!) for the taste buds of the sweet lovers visiting the café-ice-cream shop.
The pink interior is optically enlarged by numerous oval and round mirrors hung on the cafe's walls. Although it is the pink color that dominates the premises, the designers broke this hue by introducing elements in contrasting colors, such as navy blue armchairs, doorframes, table legs and ceiling beams, or seats in a brick-red hue. The whole is complemented by gold accessories, patterned walls at the entrance and in the children's area, and light, cloud-like lamps.

Ola Kloc: What was the priority for the investors?
Filip Domagała: The cafe/ice cream shop is located in Sandomierz, a quiet town that comes to life a bit during the summer. In the off-season, it's quite quiet and peaceful. The investors wanted to stand out strongly, to do something unique on the scale of Sandomierz, and they succeeded.
Ola: The premises are dominated by a light, powdery shade of pink (as you write this is probably one of the pinkest cafes in all of Poland!), which is juxtaposed with rather unobvious colors - navy blue and brick red. How do you apply this color in interiors to achieve an equally interesting effect?
Filip: Pink has many shades, but I think that in contrast with a strong, dark, saturated color it ceases to be infantile and acquires a certain nobility.

Ola: What was the most difficult part of this project, and what are you most satisfied with?
Filip: The most difficult thing was probably the clash with reality during the inventory and the first visit to the premises. Previously, it housed a hunting store, in the formula of a "somewhat dusty open-air museum." Heavy brown wooden furniture, antlers, twilight, everything a little dusty. Initially, the cafe was supposed to be a bit reminiscent of the hunting past, which we found intimidating, fortunately, after the first approach to the concept, the investors changed their thinking about the interior and set their sights on something totally original and cute. We did a 180-degree turn and the concept started to look like what you see in the photos. What are we most satisfied with? It's probably hard to say about one thing. I think the whole positively earned our full satisfaction with this realization. In addition, the delicious ice cream or other sweets served at this establishment defend themselves. I have the impression that I have eaten here several times the best ice cream in Poland, so we wholeheartedly urge you to visit Sandomierz.
