The estate project by {tag:pracownie} is a nominee in the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award 2022, an award considered one of the most prestigious in the world of architecture. The project's distinctive masses with sloping roofs and elevations made of rustic red brick refer to the historic buildings in this part of the city. Overlooking the river
Undoubtedly, Riverview stands out from other residential developments - to the harbor side, attention is attracted by the orderly line of brick buildings with sloping roofs. The entire project was consulted with the city's Historic Preservation Officer, and the local plan required that the historic subdivisions of the townhouses be reflected in this location. The individual buildings were arranged in rows to provide river views to as many apartments as possible. In the central part of the development is a courtyard with greenery and elements of small architecture, open to the marina and the old town. On the first floor of the buildings on the side of the boulevard, commercial premises are planned. The Riverview development is not only an ambitious architecture, but also an environmentally conscious approach. The project includes a number of energy-efficient, environmentally friendly solutions, making Riverview the first residential development in Poland to be LEED-certified.

Securing the building against fire
The investor set the bar really high in terms of the standard of the entire investment. This translated into stringent requirements for the fire protection system.
D+H smoke ventilation system - D+H RZN series control units
Smoke removalis one of its most important links - in the event of a fire, it allows to remove smoke from the building, thereby reducing material losses and ensuring safe escape routes. The heart of the smoke removal system in the Riverview project is the D+H RZN series control panels. The control panel receives the signal from smoke detectors and passes it on - to actuators that open windows or smoke dampers. At the Gdansk housing estate, the decision was made to use RZN 4416-M modular control panels, which can operate two zones simultaneously (e.g., stairwells). The operation of the smoke ventilation system can be triggered manually, enabling the RT 45 button. They were installed in the passageways.

Additional functionality of the D+H smoke ventilation system - control panel RZN 4416-M
Complementing the basic functionality of the smoke ventilation system is the possibility of ventilation by means of door frames equipped with actuators. The RZN 4416-M control panel allows you to program additional functions, such as limiting the extension of the actuators or setting the ventilation duration. Riverview investments include LT 43-U-PL buttons dedicated to opening and closing windows in daily ventilation mode. This allows for efficient ventilation and temperature control in common areas.

What matters is not only the reliability of the devices, but also taking into account the specifics of the building and matching control panels with appropriate functions and configuration options.
