On May 12, the Museum of Art in Lodz at 36 Więckowskiego Street reopened its doors to the public. This is a good opportunity to remind not so much about the small reading room operating there, but its interior. "Pain", "bug", "goodbye", "legia", "pyzio" are among the words left by visitors. How? On the reactionary wall of the reading room.
The reading room displays publications of the Museum of Art in Lodz. Magdalena Koziej of {tag:pracownie} was tasked with designing a place where visitors could look at the museum's publishing offerings in a calm and comfortable environment. The small space is always open, although access is protected by a glass door. Anyone visiting the museum can take a look here as well. The reading room was also designed with a waiting room in mind - there are low black upholstered armchairs and couches in the middle of the room.

The reading room attracts all visitors to the museum - young and old - thanks not just to the books, but to the reaction wall. One can repeatedly paste, re-paste and tack letters onto it, among other things, thus evoking reactions in other people. This is how the already mentioned "bug", "goodbye" and "love", "boat", "armpit" are created.

As the architect emphasizes - an important aspect during the design was the fact that the reading room is visible from the street through a glass window. Thus, it constitutes a kind of business card of the establishment. It was therefore important that it should not go unnoticed by passersby. With this in mind, the designer used clean, simple forms and contrasting colors. The most important object in the room, which is a colorful bookshelf, was placed centrally on the wall. The albums presented on it are thus clearly visible, even from the street. Modular armchairs and sofas can be arranged freely to ensure comfort while reading or waiting.
