In his thesis, completed at the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology, under the direction of Prof. Elżbieta Dagna-Ryńska, {tag:studenci} focuses on the concept of a zone of consciousness, referring to the idea of sharing knowledge, inspired by the Latin term conscientia. This conscientia forms the basis for both the function of the building and its technical aspects, developed in the project.

location and historical context
The designed socio-cultural center is located in the Praga Port in Warsaw. The idea is to draw attention to the history, beauty and perspectives that the right bank of the capital hides. Praga, a district with a rich past, is now a center of niche alternative culture and a refuge for numerous male and female artists. The aim of the project is to maintain and develop Praga's heritage and support the further socio-cultural development of this part of Warsaw.

The second zone is the creative activity space, which includes multifunctional workshop rooms and a public work room. These rooms are dedicated to active people who want to develop their skills, contributing to the creative development of the district. At the same time, the spaciousness of the building makes it possible to create temporary exhibitions to promote the activities of its users.

ecological dimension of awareness
The designed building was planned with minimal environmental impact in mind. The building's construction is based mainly on wood, and energy will be obtained through heat pumps and photovoltaic panels. In addition, a sustainable drainage system has been taken into account, and a large amount of existing greenery and permeable surfaces have been preserved, reinforcing the ecological nature of the project.

history of the port as inspiration
The solid form of the buildings in the project reflects the former function of the area as a port. The shape of the buildings refers to the boats that once dominated the area. The pointed roofs are reminiscent of ships' prows, and the irregular composition of the buildings is inspired by the rippling surface of the water, creating a harmonious whole that harmonizes with the historical character of the site.
