Due to rising heating costs, more and more builders are opting for low-temperature heating systems, both in newly built homes and those being modernized for energy-efficient installations. In the case of renovations, the old heat source is most often replaced with a more modern one, such as a condensing boiler or heat pump.

However, in order to ensure optimum energy efficiency, the installation must work with appropriately matched appliances that provide sufficient thermal output. In response to market needs, Purmo has introduced a new low-temperature radiator, the Ulow-E, dedicated to low-temperature installations.
The Ulow-E low-temperature radiator is an ideal solution for use in the case of thermal upgrading of buildings, as it will work perfectly as a replacement for older radiators that need to be replaced due to lower system temperatures. Thanks to its special design and built-in fans, it will increase thermal efficiency by up to 60% compared to traditional solutions. Thanks to forced greater convection, Ulow-E makes optimal use of low supply temperatures and guarantees rapid heat distribution. What's more, in most cases, it can be connected to the existing piping system, so no changes to the central heating piping network will be necessary and a quick replacement is possible.

Ulow-E is a low-temperature panel radiator that has been developed specifically for use with a heat pump. Such modern heat sources operate most efficiently at low system temperatures. Fan radiators designed for low-temperature systems, such as the Ulow-E, support convection heat emission with built-in fans that turn on automatically above 28°C at the return, and can thus increase the total heat output by up to 60% compared to a traditional radiator of the same size. This allows the system to be set at a much lower temperature to save energy without compromising indoor thermal comfort.
Application of Ulow-E low-temperature radiators
The Ulow-E low-temperature radiator with built-in fan from Purmo is an excellent option for renovation projects and retrofit installations. With six different connection options, it can easily be used as a replacement for standard Ventil Compact or Compact radiators, usually without any modifications to the piping. The Ulow-E model is operated in the same way as a regular panel radiator using a thermostatic head. This means that when replacing old radiators with the Ulow-E low-temperature installation radiator, there is no difference in operation and handling for the customer compared to previous models.
