Minimalist or full of color?

Two styles, two ways of thinking. Both still in vogue and with numerous followers. "Less is more" or "more is more"? That is the question.

Minimalism in two guises

Subdued colors with a predominance of white, uncomplicated forms, lack of unnecessary accessories, uniform smooth surfaces - these are the markers of minimalism. The emphasis is on solidity, functionality and usability. Form, as it were, follows them.

These features are perfectly reflected in the Scandinavian arrangement in white and gray. Its minimalist style was perfectly matched by the chrome fittings from the FLUSSO collection, which almost blended into this environment. A concealed shower set was installed in the shower area. It consists of a discreet faucet, which has the entire mechanism hidden, on the outside you can only see a small oval rosette with a thin handle and switch, and a modernist shower handle. They are accompanied by a simple rainshower panel.

In the washbasin area there are concealed faucets with soft, rounded lines and interestingly shaped spouts.

Minimalist interiors do not have to be devoid of expressiveness. The eye-catching contrast of white with black and gray - as in the arrangement with a wall covered with tiles with a pattern imitating onyx - is in fact already a "classic of minimalism". Against such a background, the designer placed a round white washbasin with a countertop faucet MEANDRO. Sleek, with streamlined lines, it has simplicity and dignity at the same time. Its chrome finish, impeccable proportions and joystick handle integrated into the body make it a fixture full of elegance and functionality. In the shower area there is a concealed shower mixer from the same MEANDRO series - space-saving, simple in design, with a handle that allows you to easily set the desired water flow and temperature.

Maximalism in two scenes

With a fever of intense colors, various combinations of patterns, textures and forms, maximalism entered the interior design world.

The designs created under its influence are characterized by momentum and a touch of madness. They are undoubtedly for those who are bored with ascetic Scandinavian proposals. Emerald and intense yellow hues rule here, a terrazzo pattern on the floor juxtaposed with a fluted wall and tiles in the form of small rectangles. As if somewhat in spite of "less is more" - less is more. The new rule is "more is more" - more is more.

Of course, not everything has to be maxi. In the example arrangement with intense colors and expressive patterns, a subdued mixer from the MEANDRO series was used. The sink mixer is a concealed model. It is characterized by a streamlined line without any ornamentation. The modern shower and bathtub set is also concealed.

Maximalism also characterizes the composition with decorative stuccowork, gold-glittering chandeliers, wall ornaments and fancifully upholstered curtains. The freestanding retro bathtub on lion's feet was matched with an unusual faucet from the LACRIMA series in the shade of old bronze. It is a four-hole bathtub model, which has porcelain elements, decorative taps for hot and cold water and a shower handle resembling a telephone handset from the early 20th century. The LACRIMA sink faucet also stands out with its beautifully shaped spout and decorative knobs. The effect of the whole: maximally delightful.
