The Lodz metropolis is definitely back in the game. The renovated EC1 (EC1 East, design: homeOFhouses, Rafał Mysiak; EC1 West, design: Zbigniew Bińczyk, Mirosław Wiśniewski; EC1 Southeast, design: Kanon Architects) is one of the showpieces of this new Lodz. Not the only one. Everyone knows that Lodz's Manufaktura (design: SUD Architectes) is second to none among shopping centers. One of the symbols of the new Lodz has become the "stable of unicorns" (design: Jan Galecki), a fanciful structure roofing the central interchange of Lodz streetcars. I like this stable very much. I love Lodz in general. It turns out that industrial cities find their way into modernity just fine. Old brick revues are rising from ruins, becoming fashionable lofts. Modern technology industries, creative industries and demanding employees of large corporations like Lodz's spaces and the offer the city creates in the sphere of leisure and culture. It is fostered by the cinematic atmosphere that used to evoke the admiration of David Lynch here, among others. This potential has yet to be fully exploited. Lodz deserves major investments from industries such as film production and related video game production. On the basis of the competence of the film school and the other universities of Lodz - it is as possible.
