On Friday, October 7, 2022 at the headquarters of the Association of Polish Architects in Warsaw, during a ceremony, the results of the 58th edition of the SARP Annual Zbyszek Zawistowski "Diploma of the Year" Award competition were announced, which aims to support the most talented young architects. The winner of this year's edition was Tomasz Bekas from the University of Arts in Poznań.
The award for the best master's diploma produced at the Faculties of Architecture of Polish universities has been given since 1964. For the past twenty-one years it has carried the name of the SARP Annual Zbyszek Zawistowski "Diploma of the Year" Award.
The jury consisted of Agnieszka Kalinowska-Sołtys, Karol Fiedor,Piotr Grochowski, Przemo Łukasik, Łukasz Modrzejewski, Adrian Burzyk, Maciej Solarski.
The Honorary Patron of the Competition is the Ambassador of Switzerland in Poland.
The evaluation of the 25 diploma works presented by the finalists was carried out by a jury of judges:
From among the diplomas nominated for the third stage of the competition, the Competition Court decided to award the Main Prize of PLN 10,000, three equivalent first-degree distinctions of PLN 2,500 and two equivalent second-degree distinctions of PLN 1,500.
The Annual Zbyszek Zawistowski Award "Diploma of the Year" was awarded to Tomasz Bekas for his diploma thesis entitled "Memory Space - Memory of Space. Place of memory in the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Gross-Rosen in Rogoźnica," from the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts in Poznań, whose supervisor was Michal Ankiersztajn.

First-degree equivalent honors were awarded to: Katarzyna Krawczyk for her work titled Architecture of Concern Regeneration of a dysfunctional housing estate on Opolska Street in Poznań executed at the University of Arts in Poznań under the supervision of Dr. Eugeniusz Skrzypczak, Maria Lityńska author of the diploma "Searching for the identity of Judaic architecture. The lost home of the Polish Hasidim - the design of the Hasidic center in Lezajsk" from the Warsaw University of Technology. The work was done under the direction of Dr. Anna Agata Wagner and Grzegorz Stiasny. Also, Paulina Pawlikowska from the Warsaw University of Technology received a first-degree honorable mention for her work "Modernist architecture as an environment for modernization activities. Revitalization of the brine baths in Ciechocinek", whose supervisor was Prof. Jan Słyk.
Second-degree equivalent honors were awarded to: Karolina Grzesita of the Silesian University of Technology for her thesis "Landscape of Transformation. Development of post-mining areas on the example of the urban-architectural concept of Belchatow 2051", made under the supervision of Dr. Jan Kubec, and Eryk Szczepanski from the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts in Poznan for the diploma "In search of a new dimension of the city. A project for the spatial development of Bytow as an element of the network of small Kashubian cities," whose supervisor was Dr. Elżbieta Raszeja prof. UAP.
