Only until November 12 you can still cast your vote in the plebiscite for the best Warsaw architectural projects and events. This is the fifth time the Architectural Award of the President of the Capital City of Warsaw will be awarded. In the second part of today's "Coffee Break" we present the buildings and events nominated in the categories: Best Revitalization, Best Public Space and Best Architectural Event. 4th Best Revitalization 2018
Koneser Press Center

The project on the site of the former Koneser Vodka Factory covered a nearly five-hectare area in Warsaw's Praga district. Currently, the project area is home to businesses, clubs and restaurants, among others, as well as cultural events, fairs and picnics.
Siarczana Culture and Activity Center

The investment, part of the revitalization program for Targówek Fabryczny, included the renovation and expansion of a more than 100-year-old villa. Now the center on Sulfana Street hosts workshops and training sessions for all ages.

The classicist building designed by Szymon Bogumił Zug has not only regained its former splendor, but has also been adapted to the needs of the elderly, those with limited mobility and the disabled.
5th Best public space 2018
The graduation tower on Haller Square

The small wooden brine graduation tower from Ciechocinek was created as part of the participatory budget on the initiative of Kamil Ciepieńko, a neighborhood councilman from the I Love Prague Association.

The new model of urban furniture was selected with the participation of residents. Prototypes of the benches could be tested in front of the headquarters of the Greenery Board. By mid-2020 there are to be more than a thousand of them throughout the city.

The project drew attention to the potential of the square in front of Zacheta, which usually serves as a parking lot. Artists who "measured themselves against the architecture and history of Zacheta" were invited to participate in the project, in which the square became an event venue and an open-air exhibition hall.
