The Kielce local government announced that a contract has been signed for the construction of another of the two major projects that won in last year's Kielce Civic Budget. The project in question is "Bocianek na Start," a sports and recreation complex to be built at the Stanislaw Staszic Elementary School No. 1. At the same time, the second BO investment is being implemented, namely the construction of a modern skatepark and pumptrack.
Two new spaces conducive to physical activity and recreation will be created in Kielce. They are to be accessible to everyone. The first is a place for skateboarding and rollerblading enthusiasts: a skatepark and pumptrack, which will be located at Kadzielnia and Baranowski Park. The matter is very fresh, as their construction began in early August. Now the Kielce local government has announced that another project, namely a sports and recreation complex on the "Bocianek" estate, will soon be launched. Both initiatives won in last year's civic budget.
The largest projects in last year's Civic Budget are entering the implementation stage. I am glad that more sports and recreational facilities will be built in Kielce, available to all. In Bocianek, residents will be able to use a new mini stadium, and at Kadzielnia a multifunctional skatepark. In this way, the great idea of the Civic Budget is being fulfilled, in which it is the people of Kielce who decide about changes in their immediate neighborhood ," said Kielce Mayor Bogdan Wenta.
modern space for skaters and skateboarders
The construction of a skatepark and pumptrack at the intersection of Krakowska and Pakosz streets is also the most expensive project of Kielce's civic budget. It is expected to cost nearly PLN 3 million. Public consultations on it were held for three months. The architectural design was prepared by the Modus Miroslaw Macioszek studio and Slo Concept, and is being carried out by Techramps, a company specializing in the construction of such facilities.
It is worth noting that the complex will not be built from scratch. It will be built partly on the existing old skatepark, which will be expanded on the south side, and all its elements will be renovated and enhanced with new ones. The skatepark and pumptrack spaces include a bank ramp, street section, wall, quarter pipe, spin ramp, roll-in and quarter pipe. The overall design is to be modern and spacious. Kielce authorities announce that the implementation of the project "Skatepark and Pumptrack (bicycle, skateboard, scooter and roller track) - Active Zone at Kadzielnia and Baranowski Park" should be completed in early December 2021.

Sports and recreation complex in Bocianek
In turn, as part of the "Bocianek na Start" project, several spaces will be created at the Elementary School No. 1 in Kielce. Among others, a small athletics stadium with dart and ball throwing areas made of artificial grass surface. In addition, there will be a polyurethane running track, a long jump, as well as volleyball and basketball courts made of the same surface. As part of the work, sidewalks, stairs and a technical road from Boya-Żeleńskiego Street will also be renovated. The area will be illuminated and equipped with video surveillance. The facility is also to be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
The area will be open and accessible to all. We are very happy that we will soon be able to use the new infrastructure. We cordially invite you to join us ," comments Żaneta Szczepaniak, director of Elementary School No. 1 in Kielce.
