The next webinar in the AQINA TV series on architecture, interior design and design is coming soon. The protagonist of the upcoming meeting will be Ron Arad, an architect from Israel who designs for Samsung, Swarovski and Fiat, among others. This will be the second meeting in a series of webinars entitled "Very Small to Very Big".
Ron Arad needs no introduction to anyone. He has been designing for more than four decades, changing the face of modern design. He has designed for brands such as Samsung, Alessi, Magis, Vitra, Swarovski, Fiat and Bombay Sapphire. His furniture is a kind of work of art, often with interesting, astonishing forms. Some of his most associated works are the Raviolo and Voido chairs for Magis, produced using rotational molding technology. An icon of design has become, the plastic T-Vac seat based on a steel frame, designed for Vitra. His work also includes the design of the Holon Design Museum in Israel.
Ron Arad's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, including New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Powerhouse in Sydney. During the COVID epidemic, the artist inaugurated the "Smile for NHS" campaign in the UK. As part of it, masks printed with portraits of famous artists, including Picasso, Matisse and Dali, designed by Ron Arad were worn by celebrities including Stephen Fry, David Baddiel and Elizabeth Hurley. The main goal of this campaign was to raise money for Britain's National Health Service.
You will be able to meet with Ron Arad online on July 22, at 4pm during the next webinar in the AQINA TV series. Link to register for the upcoming meeting here.
