If you're in the Malopolska region near Nowy Targ, it's worth taking a look at Dursztyn, where a prefabricated house by the Polish-Chinese JANG studio has been erected on the very top of Honaj Hill. Wooden and eco-friendly, HONAY HOUSE takes advantage of the area's assets, allowing visitors to relax surrounded by nature and the panorama of the Slovak Tatra Mountains.

In Podhale, the latest realization of the Karpiel Steindel Architektura studio , known for combining regional traditions with modernity, attracts attention . Situated at the foot of the Giewont Mountains, Osada in Koscielisko consists of six villas referring in form and materials used to mountain shepherd's huts. Look out for roofing made of dranice!

Staying in southern Poland and the theme of regional architecture, an interesting project is a summer house in the Gorce Mountains by the exexe studio . The architects faced a considerable challenge - thereconstruction of an existing 30-year-old building. The authors left the massive foundation made ofpebbles and shinglescovering the roof and exterior walls.

And now a jump on the map and a visit to the Sudeten foothills, where architects from the Tecla studio have created the Silesian House in response to the growing demand for contemporary, functional and aesthetically pleasing recreational architecture . The lump of the building, with its simple plan, proportions and gabled roof, is reminiscent of Lower Silesian architecture.

Traveling from Warsaw, in just an hour you can reach the small village of Strzyże, where a year-round house with a Russian banya awaits you. HUS, with an area of 35 square meters, can be rented, but you can also buy and build it on your own plot. The project's watchwords? Open room layout, wood, cellulose-based materials and natural waterproofing.

Also an hour's drive from Warsaw, Wildcat was built - a summer house on a triangular plan. Wildcat was created out of a desire to create a resting place and to help wildcats and other endangered animal species with its activities. From each stay at the cottage, part of the proceeds go to help animals from the WWF Foundation.

Heading towards Masuria, in the vicinity of a forest and a lake, you will find a modern summer house by the YONO architecture studio. Its investor wanted to get a place where he and his guests would be able to relax surrounded by nature and beautiful views - that's how the Scandinavian-style wooden cottage POSPOKÓJ was created.

We end our review in Jastrzebia Gora where Modern Houses 7 holiday homes were built, located just three hundred meters from the sea. Economical in form, the habitat consisting of seven objects is a project by Piotr Kowalczyk of Archmondo studio, who tried to capture the atmosphere of vacations by the sea, but without unnecessary ornaments and embellishments, hence the white and wood.
