Raumplus - ways to have a home office

09 of April '20

A place to work at home has become more necessary today than ever before. As long as space allows, a home office is the best solution. We can separate it with glass walls and doors.

Of course, it all depends on what kind of space we live in, how intensively we work and how much focus we need. For some, even a simple table is enough for work. Others need conditions that provide comfort and focus as in an office. For a home office, you can allocate a room or set aside space for it in the living room or bedroom. In the second case, our workspace is best separated from the rest of the room by glass walls with doors. This way the room will not optically shrink, and the glass will dampen noise, which will promote concentration.

home office with glass walls

A glass wall can easily fit into any interior. The solutions offered by Raumplus are ordered to size and can even be installed under the haunches. Also in terms of aesthetics, we have a lot of room for maneuver here. Large-format wall and door systems are well suited to modern homes. Raumplus offers them in a maximum dimension of 180×320 cm. On the other hand, supporters of more traditional interiors or those maintained in fashionable boho or loft styles will be delighted by doors with widely spaced muntins, associated with an old factory. Interestingly, the layout of the muntins can be designed by yourself. Similarly, you can choose the color of the finish of the aluminum profiles. From powder-coated in a wide range of colors, to finished in elegant satin anodized silver, black and dark bronze. If we want to cut ourselves off from stimuli in our glass office, it's a good idea to mount a curtain rod along the wall with a fabric to drape over it when needed.

freedom of arrangement

A home office, even arranged in a small space, has one inestimable advantage over an office workspace. Here we have full freedom in how we arrange it. So it's worth considering what we need on a daily basis at work and choosing the best solutions for us. When arranging the workstation itself, it is worth getting an ergonomic chair, which is especially important when we work for more than three hours. The table or desk should have storage for utensils and accessories, as well as grommets for cables. For documents and office equipment, a bookcase will be ideal. And if we don't have space for it, a lockable cabinet - preferably with a top that can hold a laptop - is worthy of recommendation. Do not forget that the workstation must be well lit. Various types of desk lamps will work well in this role.
