Luxury, space, modernity and elegance - these were the design requirements set by the investors for interior designer Katarzyna Kraszewska. The house near Poznań with an area of one thousand square meters is full of art, design, light and natural stone.
Thehouse near Poznań, with an impressive area of one thousand square meters, has neither superfluous spaces nor undeveloped rooms, despite its two, spacious floors. When the functional plans for the building were being created, architect Katarzyna Kraszewska was asked by the investors - a family with three adult sons - to design the interiors. She decided on several changes to the interior layout, adjusting the whole to the owners' needs. In addition, the architect designed a modern facade and a terrace with a fireplace, which like a ribbon wraps around the back of the house, and in the warm months is an extension of the spacious living room.

As the architect says about the design work:
What the owners wanted most was for the interiors to be modern, comfortable, elegant and classy. Such a message is an architect's dream come true. My cooperation with clients always involves guiding investors through the entire project. We started by consulting on the design of the mass, elevation, layout and function of the rooms. Then came the interior finishing stage, and finally the pleasure itself - the selection and purchase of art and accessories.

stone a leitmotif
The first floor of the house is the living area - a living room combined with a dining room and an open kitchen. The author wanted the natural stone, with which the walls are lined, to refer to luxury houses in northern Italy. The use of gray, heavily used stone influenced the color of the interiors. In a bay window of forty-five square meters, the author placed a kitchen connected to the terrace. Cabinets with lacquered, anthracite-colored fronts and a white floor made of large-format quartz sinter tiles blend harmoniously into the interior. The kitchen island is illuminated by a multi-point chandelier resembling flying hollyhock worms.

wine collection
An interesting feature is the living room wall with a built-in three-meter-long gas fireplace. Above it hangs a painting by Warsaw painter Agata Czeremuszkin Chrut. The conventional boundary between the kitchen and living room is formed by a dining room with a huge solid wood table and characteristic elliptical lamps.

The owners are connected with the wine industry, so the house could not lack a room suitable for storing wines. It is located behind a glass tinted door directly next to the dining room. Inside, the room is kept at a constant low temperature, and the shelves can hold three hundred bottles of wine.

design in every room
The private part of the first floor is a bedroom communicated with a bathroom and a bright, spacious dressing room. The ashen wall of the bedroom, lined with panels covered with leather and interspersed with metal elements, forms a set with leather, ornately upholstered bed headboards. The bathroom faces the garden. It features a free-standing bathtub, a shower and two basins on a stone countertop. The gray patterned stone creates a contrast with the light quartz sinters and dark veneer. In the bright dressing room, the island is stunning - a module with illuminated drawers for jewelry, watches and other accessories. The first floor also included a study with oak parquet flooring. The same wooden floor also appears in the gym and upstairs lobby.

black and white floor
From the spacious lobby, a light, "floating in the air" staircase leads to the first floor. Such an effect was achieved thanks to a structure embedding reinforced concrete stair pins in the wall. The staircase is decorated with scattered Oskar Zięta pebbles, which harmonize with the crystal bubbles of the lamp hanging from the ceiling. The first floor is dedicated to the sons' three bedrooms and their common space - a room with a section of glass floor. There you will find a bar and a pool table. A guest room and two bathrooms with showers, kept in white-gray-black tones, are also placed on this floor.

When it gets warm outside, the house expands to include a terrace, the main part of which is located just beyond the threshold of the living room and kitchen. An outdoor traditional fireplace is placed on the other side of the fluted wall of the living room. The terrace floor is made of exotic wood, and the light furniture was designed by Segers studio.
