Located near the Łódź Kaliska railway station, the apartment is a unique, extremely coherent and harmonious space, in which the inspiration of architects from the 3XEL studio with Japanese style and minimalism is strongly felt. The culmination of an interior full of soothing natural colors, semi-transparent materials and subtle play of light and shadow is a collection of paintings by Emilia Lavrynowicz, created especially for this place.

oasis of calm
The apartment with a western exposure and an area of 55 square meters is an oasis of calm. There are no flashy contrasts, strong accents, chaotic solutions - instead, there are clear layout, open spaces, harmony and gentleness.

The interior consists of an open living room with a kitchen and dining area, a separate bedroom with a work area and a bathroom. To bring natural light deep into the apartment {tag:pracownie} - Justyna Ławrynowicz and Patryk Ławrynowicz - decided to demolish a section of the corner enclosing the bedroom and replace it with a transparent partition - a lightweight wooden structure filled with fluted glass. The solution is reminiscent of Japanese Shōi screens - mobile partitions filled with translucent paper.

Behind the semi-transparent corner located opposite the main entrance, a functional workspace was planned, as well as the entrance to a bedroom maintained in light, subdued colors. The centerpiece of this room is a veneer-framed bed flanked by two steel shelves of varying lengths and depths, complemented by simple, asymmetrical lighting.

The need for an additional table top with drawers for storage, as well as the possibility of a slow meal at a traditional table, was met and included in one piece of furniture, the project description reads. - Its linearity is enhanced by an elongated Thin Tube lamp suspended above the tabletop. The table is surrounded by four beech Pala chairs, painted gray (designed by MUKA Design Lab for Fameg).

Theminimalist, sand-colored kitchen is divided into two parts - a ceiling-high built-in unit and a lower working area with a decorative overhang covered with tiles of non-uniform color covering the hood. Decorative tiles with a natural stone texture that decorates the kitchen also appear on the floors and walls of the bathroom.
On the other side of the dining area is a seating area with a light beige sofa, a low table with rounded corners designed by the Polish brand Lava, and a polished and lacquered steel shelf under the TV. The interior is complemented by soft fabrics - caramel-colored curtains and a light carpet - and the aforementioned acrylic paintings on canvas by Emilia Lavrynowicz.

The arrangement of the apartment in Lodz, although almost monochromatic, is not boring. Subtle differences in individual shades of beige, as well as a variety of textures and materials that react in various ways to the light entering the interior, create an extremely cozy and soothing space.
