The observation tower in Krynica-Zdrojstands at the very top of the Slotwiny Arena ski station. It measures more than 49.5 meters high - the same height as a 17th-floor skyscraper. It is surrounded by forests, and to get to the top of it you have to walk along a road in the treetops. In addition to the magnificent views, it also has a didactic dimension - an educational path.
Podhalanska Pracownia Architektoniczna Buduj a Woloj Jan Karpiel, Stanislaw Michalczak from Zakopane is responsible for the design of the tower. The structure was made of acacia robinia wood. Thanks to such a choice of materials, the object "blended in" with the surrounding stand of trees - beech, fir and spruce. The wooden path is supported by 18 support towers and 87 poles. In two places the designers used a stacked path system. The total length of the path is 1030 meters.
