We encourage you to vote for the best graduation project - the Audience Award of the eighth edition of the "A&B Academy 2019" competition. Below is the list of all 12 projects participating in the competition. You can vote only once for one project only from January 10-31this year. The author of the work that wins the highest number of votes will receive a diploma of the "A&B Academy" and a one-year subscription to the "A&B" monthly magazine.

The project is based on a number of analyses, taking into account the requirements of the zoning plan, zoning decisions and the need for economic development in Poznan.

The subject of the work is the Center of the University Park of Earth History located on Stefana Vrtela-Wierczyńskiego Street in Poznań, between Zygmunt Szweykowskiego and Bogumiła Krygowskiego Streets. The design task consisted of designing the museum, including the development of a functional-utility plan, and preparing a concept for a research-hotel building.

The subject of the study is a downtown development (residential and commercial) in Gliwice, in the area of Orlickiego and Wybrzeże Wojska Polskiego (Kłodnica River) streets. The study area is located near Gliwice's Old Town. The elongated shape of the development area clearly defines its compositional layout in the direction from southeast to northwest.

The main goal of the "Grand Canyon Hotel" project is to show a coherent architectural vision of the hotel within one of the most magnificent natural wonders - the Grand Canyon of Colorado. This is a place very often visited by tourists from different corners of the world, so the intention of the presented concept is to create unique spaces in this area that allow tourists to commune with nature in its original form, which will also provide them with an unforgettable experience - but with minimal interference with the natural qualities of the place.

The premise of the "Temple of Silence" consists of five identical cottages and a tower. The project was located in the Bieszczady Mountains near Lake Solina and is a proposal for a temporary escape from the overwhelming problems of the modern world. It is a place located far from large agglomerations, free from environmental pollution and technology. A retreat that motivates us to listen to the silence and ask questions about the essence and meaning of our daily run, the amount of time we spend on social media or the environmental pollution we generate.

Wzgórza Krzesławickie is a colloquial term for a large residential area located on the outskirts of Krakow. Built between 1960 and 1980, the development is very diverse - it consists of a multi-family housing estate, a complex of about six hundred single-family houses and a multi-family development from the late 1990s. In the very center of the area there are extensive Family Allotment Gardens. Three forts dating back to the 19th century were also included in the area for future changes. The goal of the project was to carry out a comprehensive revitalization of the area and improve the living environment for residents.

The subject of the project is a two-stream elementary school with a kindergarten. The building is located at the intersection of Folwarecka and Mila Streets in Zory, Upper Silesia. The complex is shaped in the form of a geometric composition consisting of five repetitive blocks with a rectangular plan and a circle being the center of the whole. The places where the circle and orthogonal elements meet are marked by changes in the material used to shape the outline of the rectangular block.


Museum of Polish-Ukrainian Struggle

The space created was not intended to be just a place for storing memories and documenting events, but also for interpersonal communication. Here we are dealing with a participatory museum, where the participant subjectively interprets and comments, processes, shapes, reflects and draws conclusions. All this happens by inspiring and stimulating independent thinking, so that the space is not a finite form, but remains open and changeable in the process of perception.

The subject of the thesis is the Automotive Museum in Cracow. The site selected for the study is located in the eastern part of the city, in the Czyżyny district, surrounded by public facilities (shopping mall, performance hall and fair and congress facility) and multi-family housing.
