RENOTHERM and RENOVARIO panels - moisture protection and insulation from the inside of walls and ceilings
Insulating exterior walls from the inside was not one of the popular solutions. The most common reason for abandoning such an insulation method was the risk of moisture formation inside the structural partition and the appearance of mold on the wall. A safe solution to this problem is RenoTherm ecological mineral board from Ecovario Sp. z o.o., which, in addition to excellent thermal insulation properties, also has the property of rapid capillary rise. The forming condensate in the wall in winter is absorbed by the microporous board and automatically evaporated into the air. This method allows the structural partition to function safely and correctly.

Thermal insulation from the inside isused in buildings where it is not possible to use traditional external insulation. As a rule, these are historic buildings under conservation protection, public buildings, often with decorative and historic facades. Thanks to its very high capillary activity and vapor permeability, the board automatically regulates the relative humidity in the rooms and keeps it at a constant level. These properties allow the use of the RenoTherm board system in libraries, museums, galleries, conference rooms, as well as in basement rooms where there are also moisture problems , such as basements , cellars adapted for catering or office purposes. In this way it pores over and provides a healthy microclimate for the people in them.
By insulating from the inside, we can raise the air temperature in a very short time, even in buildings used seasonally or occasionally.
RenoTherm panels are also used in buildings of unusual construction, such as sports and entertainment venues and underground garages. Areas of both walls and ceilings are then insulated.

Installation at a glance
Before installation, the stability and evenness of the substrate should be checked. RenoTherm panels are glued full-surface to the wall on the ridge with RenoKSL adhesive mortar. In the next step, the same mortar is applied to the glued panels, combed with a toothed trowel and embedded in a reinforcing mesh, and then trowelled. Finally, we cover the smoothed boards with a coat of paint with high water vapor diffusion, such as silicate paint for interiors, lime or chalk paint.

Mildew can form and grow in places with favorable conditions, namely: moisture, proper temperature and substrate. The causes of mold formation are generally well-known: excessive indoor moisture production (washing, cooking, drying) in tandem with inadequate ventilation, wall frosting, workmanship errors and associated so-called "thermal bridges" and others. At low outdoor temperatures and high relative humidity of indoor air in insufficiently insulated areas, condensation can occur.

As a pictorial example, we can use, for example, the phenomenon of fogging of the mirror after taking a bath. An effective solution to this problem is the use of the Renovario climate board system, which prevents the formation of condensation water and mildew, and at the same time improves the thermal and moisture comfort of the rooms. The high degree of capillary rise of the material causes rapid and self-evaporation of condensate, and the alkaline pH further protects against unwanted mold.
